Vehicles

Fleming NationaLease customers need a variety of equipment. That's why we offer vehicles from light trucks through Class 8. Truck classifications are based upon the maximum laden weight recommended by the manufacturer at which that truck should be operated (see table below). A basic description of the types of trucks we offers follows:

Regional Truck

  • Diesel engine for reliability, power, lower fuel costs, reduced maintenance and decreased emissions
  • Cab designed for driver comfort, increased maneuverability and shorter turning radius Large windshield and windows for better visibility and safety
  • Automatic transmission optional, power steering and tilt steering wheel for easier driving
  • Available in multiple body styles designed for your application, including refrigerated units
  • Hydraulic lift gate and a variety of devices available for assuring cargo safety and security
  • Air conditioned, AM/FM radio

Regional trucks (classes 3 to 6) have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of less than 26,000 lbs. but greater than 12,000 lbs. and do not require a commercial driver’s license. Most regional trucks are used for city pick-up and delivery. They are typically straight trucks with a van or platform body.

Medium Truck

  • Diesel engine for reliability, power, lower fuel costs, reduced maintenance and decreased emissions
  • Variety of options ranging from Non-CDL (25,500 pounds) up to 33,000 pounds available
  • Power steering and optional automatic transmission for easier driving
  • Cabs designed with your driver in mind, including power steering, air conditioning, AM/FM radio and other driver comforts
  • Dock height for easy loading and unloading
  • Hydraulic lift gate and a variety of devices available for assuring cargo safety and security
  • A variety of body sizes from 16 ft. through 24 ft. to accommodate a range of load requirements
  • Flatbeds and refrigerated versions also available

Medium trucks (Classes 6 and 7) have a GVW of less than 33,000 lbs. but greater than 25,500 lbs. Most medium trucks are used for suburban pick-up and light load long haul.

Heavy Truck

  • Available as single-axle day cab, tandem-axle day cab, and sleeper versions
  • Electronic diesel engines for fuel efficiency and reduction of emissions
  • Engine Control Units manage engine performance and collect vehicle data, including accurate fuel usage
  • A variety of horsepower available to meet your particular demands
  • Cabs designed with your driver in mind, including power steering, air conditioning, AM/FM radio and other driver comforts
  • A variety of sleeper sizes and features are available

Heavy trucks (Class 8) have a GVW exceeding 33,000 pounds. Main applications are highway tractors, off-highway tractors and special purpose vehicles, such as cement mixers, fire trucks, garbage trucks, snowplows, tank trucks.
